I'm Maxine, and I run Forest & Ocean Studio from my cottage on the edge of Dartmoor in Devon – working with independent businesses to create gorgeous imagery.
I’m passionate about working with business owners and leaders - learning about their business journeys and their creations. Growers, makers, brewers, café owners, florists, yoga instructors, photographers, musicians, side hustling parents and everyone in-between.
With over a decade of industry experience, I offer a wide variety of design services from thoughtful brand identity, website design, illustration, signage, print and packaging.
I take pride in Forest and Ocean offering a friendly, kind and down to earth service, helping independent businesses and sole traders find a style that fits their ethos - even if they start out unsure of what they're after. I work with many of my clients long after the initial branding journey, offering them support with any design needs.

My role is to work with your business to ensure your brand image is perfectly suited to your target audience, your ethos and your vision. I regularly incorporate hand drawn, painted & linocut elements to my work - offering my clients a truly bespoke design experience.
When I’m not working, you can find me in the garden growing vegetables, batch cooking in the kitchen, exploring nature in Devon and Cornwall with my two little ones, and rummaging through piles in charity shops when I am blessed with some alone time. I'm also a huge lover of folk art and craft.
